In addition to acting, her debut leading role came in 2003 when she was in the film with teen actors Love Don't Cost a Dime. She was in the film Ghosts of Girlfriends Past starring Jennifer Garner. She took time off from music to shoot Bring It On: Fight to the Finish. Milian's return to the music industry was centered around promoting Us Against the World, as well as shooting the music video. Milian said since that time she's become more cautious about the songs she picked for the album.
